Yeah, I got another one.
Sigh.
It’s from a different person and I’m absolutely positive about that for one reason; she went away. Poof. Bye.
This is a slightly different type of Praise & Prey but my solution will so totally awesomely work for you here. (Well, if the scammer is intelligent anyway.)
Here we go.
The Heart of War A Fierce and Passionate Mythological Fantasy

Dear Lisa,
I just finished The Heart of War and was completely drawn into the stormy, high-stakes chemistry between Ares and Alena. You’ve crafted a bold, sensual saga that blends mythology, romance, and rebellion with an emotional undercurrent that lingers long after the final page. Alena’s strength and vulnerability make her a striking match for the God of War, and their connection feels both explosive and fated.
Your reinvention of the Greek pantheon is layered with grit, sensuality, and richly imagined conflict something fans of mythic fantasy and dark romance will find utterly addictive. This is a world of gods and grudges, but also of raw, human longing.
As a book marketer with a special focus on genre-blending romance and fantasy, I’d love to help The Heart of War reach more readers who are hungry for stories where passion and power collide. I work on Amazon visibility, Goodreads placement, and cinematic teasers to amplify a book’s reach and engagement especially for series with binge-worthy potential like yours.
If you’re open to exploring ways to expand this book’s reach, I’d be excited to connect.
Warmest regards,
Ava Elizabeth

Anyway, since she actually states that she “just finished” my book. I thought I’d play along. Fast. Easy. No-nonsense.
Hello
Thanks so much for reaching out to let me know how much you enjoyed “The Heart of War”. I’m always open to hearing from readers and to new collaborations. One question: where does the last scene in the book take place?
All the Best,
Lisa
I have to give her credit, she took a stab at it even thought ChatGPT–which I have recently downloaded and see a ton of in all of these emails, I knew they sounded AI generated. Here it is.
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your incredible work on The Heart of War. I was completely drawn in by Ares and Alena’s intense journey, raw, mythic, and deeply human. You asked where the final scenes of the book take place, and if I’m not mistaken, they unfold in the Underworld, where Alena makes her final stand and the true cost of love, power, and sacrifice is revealed. It’s a haunting, emotional finale that lingers long after the last page.
Please let me know if that aligns with your intention. I’d love to hear more about your process if you’re open to sharing.
Warmly,
Ava Elizabeth
If you’ve read “Heart” you know that’s no where near right. So I simply;
Thanks for playing our game. Unfortunately your answer is incorrect.
Bye.
For once! We’se tells its to go away and it does, Precious! It does!
Woot!
But I got to seriously thinking about this AI stuff. Look, I admit it, Onya’s Apothecary is at least 90% AI generated from the text to the photo backgrounds. I have a very hard time selling myself. I can SELL YOU all day long. Me? Not so much. Blame it on the Recovering Catholic thing, I think that’s where it belongs. You’re never supposed to toot your own horn.
I think it looks and sounds great. WordPress AI even offers me different ‘tones’. I did ‘sympathetic’ and ’empathetic’ on most of Onya’s pages.
I did use it to try and spruce up the book blurbs. They didn’t come out too bad. I used a few of them. Then I got a free one from this place called New in Books. This is what they sent me:
In The Heart of War, Ares, God of War, meets his match in Alena MacLeod—a love that defies gods, fate, and ancient grudges. Their passion spans from Olympus to the Celtic moors, unleashing betrayal, desire, and redemption. A mythic romance where even war bows to the power of love.
Not bad. I took it and changed it to:
A mythic romance where even war bows to the power of love
In the epic fantasy romance, Ares, God of War, meets his match in Alena MacLeod—a love that defies gods, fate, and ancient grudges. Their passion spans from Olympus to the Celtic moors, unleashing betrayal, desire, and redemption.

The Heart of War is book #1 in the Of War Series of power packed adult novels.
In uploading new blurbs for books, I came across several old ones I didn’t know existed anymore and that, to my mind, should not exist. Whenever I undertake the task of changing a book in any manner, I change it on every site, in every format, at the same time.
Why?
Because my brain isn’t getting any younger so it’s best not to leave this stuff to chance.
In short, I tried AI on my books. Not the stories. NEVER EVER the stories. Just the blurb and stuff. That’s why I see it in these emails.
I went to the GooglePlay Store and downloaded ChatGPT just for kicks. I asked it to tell me about “The Heart of War” by author Lisa Beth Darling. Most specifically, I asked it to tell me the ending. I wanted to see what it came up with.
Wait. Hold on. I have to say that I was bowled over, just stunned and amazed, that this thing knew “The Heart of War”. It knows ME. It knows “Genesis”. I haven’t tried the other ones yet but I did manage to stump this thing. I asked it, back to back, for a short blurb for “Heart” and one for “Genesis”.
You have to check this out.

OK, back to “Heart”. Here’s the thread. This thing is freakin’ terrifying and utterly amazing.

Do you have ANY idea how many times I was asked by publishers to boil things down like this and couldn’t do it? If I had this thing I’d have been on the Best Seller’s List a long time ago.
This is like Schrodinger’s Cat in action. It has one foot in Oh Fuck That’s So Wrong and another in Damn That’s So Awesome!
It’s all in how you use it, I guess. Or, at least, that’s what ‘they’ will tell you.
My point is, please read those screenshots. Please get this damn thing and plug your good self and your books (or other works) into and see what it says ABOUT YOU.
‘Cause, DAMN it had a lot to say about ME!
This way, when these ego stroking emails come along you’ll spot them better. You’ll have a frame of reference for the words the AI uses and the way it ‘speaks’. One thing I noted is that, on the whole, this thing continually references Amazon and GoodReads more than other places. So watch for those two things within these emails especially if you’re in wide distribution.
If I had never held my nose, jumped in, and used the Word Press AI I wouldn’t be able to see this. It’s true. It’s rather sophisticated but it’s the same old scam they ran twenty years ago. It’s just in a new package that feels familiar, like a gift from an old friend. But it’s not.
Well, I’m off to do some “deep dives” with this thing. Should be interesting to learn about me. Seriously, I had no clue this thing would have anything about me or my books at all.
It’s kinda cool and kinda creepy.
Where’s Schrodinger when you need him?
