FREE WEEK is over and the results are in.
I’m pleased with what I’m about to post but I’m sure there are others out there who will belittle it. I didn’t put any money into this free giveaway…I try very hard never to do that…I posted to selected targeted FB groups for myself and dear old Loony. The hardest part about it was getting her posts to be accepted because she’s still so ‘new’. She did get through on several of them by the end, I think because I’m trying to keep up her FB page and post here and there as her. That helps make her look more ‘real’ or whatever.
So this little campaign was Monday-Friday for all books in Unlimited except the Sister Christian boxset.
It was hastily put together–to say the least! This is often a last second thing with me, I just suddenly decide it’s time to give things away! Then…there they go. I put absolutely no money into it. Very little time….face it, I was going to be FB at those times of day anyway, so what’s a bit of copy/paste while I’m already there? There was a bit of frustration getting going but that smoothed out and if/when I do this again it will go easier.
Not too shabby although I wish Lisa’s List had received more downloads, it’s very helpful, but it’s also very targeted at an extremely small geographical area.
Admittedly, it is very warming to see my Buddy still sitting on his throne. Especially after…sixteen years.
That is the most downloads A Window to Magickal Herbalism has received in its entire lifetime of, well, being on Life Support on Kindle. I’m really tickled with that and I hope those people love it and find it useful. I hope, for them, it’s everything I wanted it to be.
Christmas Eve on Olympus doesn’t go up for free very often because it’s always $0.99. It’s a short story that happens to make a cute, but atypical, introduction to the series.
Cold November Rain, that’s another I don’t put up. I’m not sure I’ve ever put it up for free. You can enter that series there without being too lost, hopefully a few of those 34 people will want to know more.
At the bottom is the one I’m most proud of, that one single paperback sale for Sins of the Father. If you’re out there…thank you! That little victory means the world to me.

I know, I’m sorry. I really want to show it to you, I swear. It’s killing me not to post it here, you have to know that. Anyway, 4th place for her very first outing is respectable, in fact it’s down right good as far as I’m concerned. She belongs to 17 groups–a mix of Indie Author/Book Promotion groups (where she gets a lot of scammers but no BS from That Crowd) and Kindle/Unlimited Groups–again, a few scammers but absolutely no BS or bullying. For the first half of the week she couldn’t post to about 8 of those groups, she still can’t post to some of them. She kept only to FB and her own little website that’s gotten all of 5 hits since it opened!
So…45 downloads with a little sugar on top with the 1 download for the second book…yep, I think that’s pretty good.
Watch out, Lisa, here comes Loony!
Yeah…I know!
It will be very interesting to see what happens with her.
